I just returned my winter home. That's where I have my PG 500. I went over last year's receipts and found that I spent $600 buying about 300 pounds of pellets at barbecue island here in Phoenix. They are selling 1000 pounds of pellets for almost $700 and a full palette for about $1200.

My question is whether in this dry environment I need to worry about having pellets left over for the next year. Do pellets go 'stale'? Is there some reason for concern? I mean, doesn't wood season for a year or two. Is there some reason for concern?

BTY should any member in the Phoenix area want to go in on an order of pellets (i.e. hickery or cherry send me a PM).
