Just saw this post. Can't make it this weekend. iI'm babysitting my schnauzers while my partnerinqueing is off to New Jersey to visit my new grandaughter.

That sure is a nice price for the little dudes. I never heard of anyone freezing mullet.

Do they sell mullet roe also. It is delicious fried, or lightly smoked. I understand the Japanese are willing to pay an extreme premium for the roe, and it has dried up for locals.

I just found some at a small fishmonger on the other side of town. they looked good, and I was told that they were caught last night.

They will be smoked up in the morning for a nice cracker lunch, I hope.
