This is a big favorite where I come from. It is also called Cornell chicken. You can get it at just about all the fireman field days in the summer and at many fire stations for fund raisers.
2 cups vinegar
1 cup oil
1 egg
3 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
pepper to taste

I've found the best way to mix is whip the egg then mix in oil and whip again. Add the rest of ingrediants and mix.

Cut a chicken or more in half and marinade for a few hours or over night is my favorite.
You can smoke the birds but I have found that grilling brings out the best flavor. Baste with left over sauce while cooking.
Yummy!
