Does anyone have a recipe for smoked crab cakes? I have looked and can't seem to find one. I was wondering about makeing into smaller bit size cakes to snack on during Christmas. Appreciate any and all help.

Jerry,

You could always just smoke the crab, and then go about making the cakes in your normal maner.

If you use onions and peppers in your recipe you could even smoke them for a while.

I dont know if the home versions of CookShacks would get hot enough to cook the dough part of the crab cakes properly.

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my butt to keep!

Cooking to proper consistency would be the challenge....

I think cold smoking the crab meat might be worth trying.

Or ya could make up your crab cake mixture, put in the minature loaf pans and put in your smoker until proper doneness. I have done this often instead of making stuffed crabs, but I did it in the oven instead of smoker. I may try the smoker now.
