Ingredients:
1 C. soft butter
2 C. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 1/2 C. finely chopped nuts
1 1/2 C.wheat flour
1 1/2 C. unbleached flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. cayenne pepper

Cream butter & sugars-add eggs & vanilla;mix well. Mix dry ingredients with nuts;add to creamed mixture.Chill. Roll into 2" logs and cut into slices.
Bake at 325 degrees 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. This has also been made using all white flour and the results are good.

How did the cookies come out/ I think they are good.I like hot and sweet combination.

Sounds good Kathy...I will try and whip up a batch this weekend.

Like you, I like the sweet hot combination...I will make chipotle chocolate every now and then and use it to make holiday cookies and treats...

More often than not, it is a winner...People are always asking for my secret ingredient!

If only they knew...

I hope you like them.I was at a party with the friend who gave me this recipe.Another friend there said she has a recipe for Bacon Brittle.We got a laugh over Meat Brittle but she promised to send me the recipe.I will put it on here if it sounds feasible.
