This recipe turned out great when I made it the other day. Try it out!

Prep Time: 5 min
Total Time: 1 hr 35 min
Makes: 10 servings

Ingredients
1 bottle (18 oz.) KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
4 lb. pork spareribs or baby back ribs

Directions
PREHEAT greased grill to low heat. Mix barbecue sauce, hot pepper sauce and garlic powder. Reserve 1/2 cup of the barbecue sauce mixture for serving with cooked ribs.

PLACE ribs, bone sides down, on grate of grill. Cook, uncovered, 1 hour, turning over after 30 minutes. Brush with the some of the remaining barbecue sauce mixture; continue grilling 30 minutes or until ribs are cooked through, turning and brushing with the remaining barbecue sauce mixture every 10 minutes.

SERVE with the reserved 1/2 cup barbecue sauce mixture.

I have trouble envisioning a 4 pound rack of Pork Spare Ribs being edible after 1.5 hours uncovered on a grill. Baby Backs yes, but not Spare Ribs.

Along with Foil and Liquid Smoke you can add Par-Boiling the ribs before grilling as a "Non-Q" method!

Why grill if there is a perfectly good smoker around???

Appreciate posting the recipe, but the Tough thing about posting a recipe like that is we've cooked more ribs than Kraft. Big Grin

Nothing against you realcooks, but that's grillin' not smoking.

You're probably going to get a few shots for this recipe as it's not "traditional" Q, so don't take it personal, but for me, that recipe looks like it came from a book.

Unfortunately, there's nothing "southern" in those ribs.

If it works for you, great, but for me.... Looks like it's just a recipe from somewhere else because it doesn't differentiate between 4 lb spareribs and baby backs (which usually weigh about 1.5) and they won't cook up in the same time.

1) Smoke don't grill
2) Use a rub, not Kraft
3) Use a homemade sauce to improve it if you must use the recipe, or doctor up a different sauce, just not Kraft

I don't care if it's "grillin'" OR "Smokin," Kraft BBQ sauce absolutely is not allowed on my property - PERIOD.

Of course, when you pass thru the cooksites, at a bbq comp, you may see Kraft bottles on a lot of cooks' tables.

Cooks like to be secretive ,about what they really use. Big Grin

Grilled ribs are great until you get the Cookshack. Don't take things personally but you addressed a bunch of smokers. Much like saying your highschool team is better than the Yankees. Smiler

This recipe actually came from a website. It's not my own recipe.

And Smokin I completely agree with you. The new Kraft BBQ sauce is actually a great sauce for adding you personal touch to. I like to spice it up a bit by adding some garlic and sliced jalapenos.

I would not usually even touch this thread, but.

I have no great fault with Kraft sauce.

It is inexpensive, and they help the grocers donate to many charitable/civic organizations.

I don't fault ketchup,either.

I like mcdonalds french fries, and I like them with ketchup.

I have been to enough jr high schools, church socials, ball team fund raisers ,where ketchup is the only thing that saved me.

I have been a poor student, and eaten light bread with the cheap sauce,or even ketchup, until I scraped together a few dollars to eat a meal.

Now,bbq is about the meat, and I have eaten it enough places where cheap bbq sauce, ketchup, cream gravy, and too many shots of tequila and beer chasers are the only way to get it down.

BUT,in some contests, bbq sauce is an immediate disqualification.

Others ,the judge knows you must be hiding very poor product, and they disqualify you, also.

I wonder what we are promoting, sometimes?

Now, realcooks, I'll have to call you out again for the "bunch of great recipes". As it's a Kraft site and Kraft sauce is in every recipe, I won't recommend it for barbecuin'

If Kraft wants helps with really making it about BBQ, I do BBQ Consulting also. Big Grin
