I just did a search on jerkey and only came up with one subject. Did not come up with any jerkey recipes. Does anyone have a favorite jerkey recipe and if you do, would you explain haw you do it and for how long in your cs. Thanks in advance

I just did a search on Jerky and came up with 15. Make sure you select all forums since many of them are in the archives.

There will be some good times in there.

Also here are a couple of links:

After looking at a lot of recipes, I combined and deleted, and this is what I use.
Pass it out, it is like pihranas to the feast..

Per pound of meat
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic
< T pepper
Just under 1 T Tender Quick (Mortons)
1/4 C. Soy Sauce
1/4 C. Wor. Sauce
!/4 C. Liq. smoke

I dry in the dehydrator. Still trying to do it right in the cookshack. Would leave out the liquid smoke there though. Marinate 24 - 36 hours in the sauce before drying. Simple to do, great results. Experiment, if you don't like it, your dog will. You can get by with less of the ingredients, but the cure salt should not be lessened.
