Green Mountain Grills is the best pellet grill out there. I just bought mine at a show in Vegas and I am in love with it. I have owned them all and this one is amazing for the price

They probably heard about Eddy's and are trying to get as many out the door as they can before Cookshack goes into full production.

Right now, if steamboats were a dime a dozen, all I could afford to do is run up and down the bank and holler, "ain't that cheap!" When the time comes though, I'll go with Eddy.

Isn't there an old saying about, "stick with the one that brung ya?"

Probably a good choice.

Why would you post info, on a Cookshack forum, about a non-Cookshack product when you have no experience with Cookshack?

I could understand asking for opinions about how a non-Cookshack product compares to a Cookshack product. What I don't understand is a post who's only purpose is that of publishing a competitor's website while giving kudos to that product.

In my opinion, the moderator would be well justified in the deletion of this thread. In my mind the OP was a spam.

If God did not intend for us to eat animals, why did He make them out of meat?

Has anyone done butts or briskets on the new FE grill/smoker with any of the test units? I know it's a great grill but how about the smoking function?

Any word on a for sale date? At Lakeland, FL, the two top dogs told me between April and June 2008?

Nothing announced yet.

They are still tweaking the cosmetics,as to where they want it to fit in the market.

I'd guess they will work the trade shows, first.

You could call sales and see if they have any better info.

I checked out the Green Mountain website, their "grill" looks like a Traeger Lil Tex, but a little smaller, wimpy wheels, and a 3 speed thermostat.
From what I learned at their website, it's pretty basic unit.
Not even close to an FE.
The last I heard from Eddy, his new grill won't be marketed for some time.
