Sell just 2 chicken drumsticks, wrap the end in a napkin and watch the customers come! Get a couple of kids munching on them, and you'll get a crowd. We set up a very small camp table and 2 chairs with an umbrella over(sure beats the canopy) just in front of and off the side of the trailer window. When we tried this 2 weeks ago at the farmer's market, it worked like a charm. Then again, this week. We missed last week for competition. We tell people they're welcome to sit down even if they're not buying from us. But, if they're eating a drumstick or a rib.....wow!
And people walking around with a drumstick or a rib bring in crowds much larger than if they are eating something out of a box.
Most of you probably already know all this, but it's new to me.
Thanks for all the help here.
Peggy

hey jack, i been working on this thing that would go great in your setting. not sure what name would be best, but i have called it 'q-sticks'.
cut from a finished butt, about a half pound steak. then just cut longways into strips. using 8 oz drink cup, pour 2 oz sauce i bottom, then align the strips so they are sticking out the top. there you have it, one cup of strips, or 'q-sticks'. also works well with hot dog bun.'q-dog'. great walking around food. i like to treat the q-dog like a regular dog and top it with onions, cheese, sauce, relish, or just about anything...
anyway, its probably been done and talked about to death, but since i have very limited memory capacity, its new to me..haha.
