dose anybody know if I can use MORTONS SMOKE FLAVORED SUGAR CURE. I have 4 thick cut pork chops and I would to rub them with A small amount of MORTONS SMOKE FLAVORED CURE,and cure for A short time ( 24 to 38 hours ) like you can with mortons tender quick, I have the morton meat curing guide but it dosen't say much about it; I called morton salt co. and she new less about it then I did.

Just do it, smoke, and see how it turns out. I had some good home grown pork chops today about an inch thick, fried in a black skillet, mashed tators, gravy, pinto beans, sweet cornbread. Oh my goodness, that's a Sunday dinner!

Seems OK. How do you plan to cook 'em? If not cured long enough, you might get more of a smoke ring effect than cured all the way thru. If hot smoking, that won't hurt anything and can be kind of pretty.
