Did anyone else watch this on the tube last night?

They pitted (no pun intended) the best of the 4 BBQ regions against eachother. The 4 regions were as follows: N. Carolina, Texas, Memphis, & Kansas City.

The show chose everyday cowboys and girls from one of those Verdes in California.

The results:

1st - Memphis with 40 points
2nd - Texas with 35 points
3rd - Kansas City with I believe around 25 points
4th - N. Carolina with like 15 or 17 points.

It was interesting to watch. Wish I could remember some of the names of the restaurants as I am sure some of you comp cooks no doubt know some of them.

I've watched it a couple of times.

There had been some comments about cowboys from Ca maybe not being widely versed in bbq.

Always fun to watch.

Like Tom, I do think we talked about this last year and WHAT do Cowboys in CA know about regional BBQ?

I felt the same. I guess they were just trying to get people far removed from any of the 4 regions, but they could have at least gotten some type of veteren culinary experts or judges.

I wasnt aware I was watching an old episode. I dont watch that stuff too often.
