I have owned a Pyrex and Polder probe for about 3 years, and I thought the Pyrex shot craps. I received a 20% off cupon from Bed, Bath and Beyond today, and thought about buying a new probe. Than I recalled seeing a post on here awhile back stating that you should test the probes in ice water, than in boiling water. I did this procedure twice, and after a few tests, both probes read the same temperatures. Thanks whoever made the original post.
