Good to see that Central BBQ is getting the recognition they deserve. Also good that Corky's is getting the recognition they deserve.

Paynes slaw comes accross to me more as a mustard pickle sauce. I like it, but it is certainly different.

Thanks for the post

Nice article Tom. Man! That guy likes to eat. I would have felt like a stuffed pig by the end of that trip.

The second to the lastparagraph did make me think though and has set the "Wheelz" spinning on improving the quality (flavor, juiciness, and smokiness) of my Q and being less dependent on sauce and sides.

Thanks for the link Tom!

I would still put "The Bar-B-Q Shop" up against anyone in Memphis.
I noticed that he said they spent some time at the Memphis Zoo.......too bad he didn't know that the "Shop" was just 3 or 4 blocks away.

Well written and thorough. A lot of effort was put into that report and the photos just made me hungry.

He actually has done a couple of these:

Thanks, Tom,
I really enjoyed that. I almost feel like I've judged people's choice again. I'm glad it was him and not me!
