I'm headed to NC for 8 days. I'm gonna head away from Charlotte to get some good Q. Is Lexington BBQ the Lexington in NC or Kentucky?

I'm guessing NC. And if I have a few hours to kill there, what is there to see and do?

BTW, I was "Bodacious BBQ" on the old site.

I gave a friend of mine from NC a call for ya, and they said you definitely want the Lexington BBQ #1 in NC. She also looked up their info for you in case you need it:

Lexington BBQ #1
Loop I 85
Lexington, NC 27292 (336) 249-9814

Hope that helps you out!

Yes, it is NC. As in Most Q, it is different from Memphis or Texas. It comes with lots of vinegar based sause. The suggested place is the best in the Lexington area. I ask for chunk instead of chopped, when I order it.

Winston-Salem has Little Richards on Country Club Road. It is the best in Winston, in case you come that way.

I have also heard of a place called Speedy's which is supposed to be great, and close to Lexington. Any thoughts?

I've never tasted anything special in Lexington Que. Their Chamber of Commerce hypes it to boost tourism.

When in NC, get off the beaten path and ask the local folks where to get good Que - they'll know.

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em
