i have a question about seasoning, what is the shelf life of seasoning stored in containers?

Most rubs they say 6 to 9 months at the outside. Open it up, taste some and see. It won't be as potent as it was when new.

Some of us vacpack refrigerate/freeze.

That helps a lot,when you buy in volume.

I like to put spices in Zip-Loc freezer bags for longer shelf life. I do the same with peppers and herbs grown in my garden once i dry them.

Store bought seasonings will lose their fresh flavor pretty quick once opened.
