Looks like the market is full of salt/sodium substitutes just Google and you'll get a bunch of hits.

I went through the same thing with my Diabetes and had to cut back on the sugars and carbs, especially since Brown sugar in my Q' was the main issue, so now I try to use Splenda in my many of my rubs and general cooking.

Good luck, and hang in there, some of the modern substitutes are very good and are hard to tell from the real thing.

for me, cider vinegar is a good substitute for a lot of salt.If you use the vinegar mop and a vinegar-y sauce on the pork products I would bet you wouldn't miss the salt as much.It is hard to imagine beef without salt. Mrs Dash does and Penzeys.com has many salt free blends. Many of them have some kind of citrus peels in them--so the acid once again is a substitute for the saltiness

Rain, hail, sleet, or snow - the mail must go through. BBQ, on the other hand, can wait for a nice sunny spring or fall day !!!
