I was at the Barnes & Noble today and picked up a couple of great books that I can recommend:

1. Dr. BBQ's Big-Time Barbecue Cookbook
- Ray Lampe (Dr BBQ) brings great hints and techniques to the barbecue enthusiast and can get them one more step closer to culinary bbq nirvana. Entertaining and comprehensive in all aspects of barbecue...

2. Get Smokin': 190 Award-Winning Smoker Oven Recipes
- Great book on recipes for the Cookshack smokers. Went through the book and wow a lot of great recipes with a lot of variety.

Both of the books have been added to my library...so I put on my smoking jacket (barbecue smoking that is) and relax with a lovely aperitif to stimulate the taste buds while the ribs smoke away and enjoy the books.

Regards,
Preston D

EDIT: Upon futher review, this guy who reviewed this had 9 pages of reviews on Amazon. I loked at the first 5. This is the ONLY 2 star review. Every other one is 4 stars or more! Plus, whne you look at what he reviews, you can see he is a big time bbq / grill / kitchen gadget guy.......

That gentleman gets better results from his Brinkmann than his Cookshack? He certainly is not using the available resources that are out there...especially this forum. I liked the recipes for use on the smoker that are in the book. I guess its operation is more complicated for him,he apparently has wood issues...

Went to Amazon and found his address and sent him an invite. If he's interested in learning how to use the Smoker, hope he'll stop on by.
