I hate reseting the connection on the Maverick Redi-Chek between the transmitter and receiver everytime I turn mine off (after each smoke).

Has anybody every left the transmitter and receiver on or would the batteries run out to fast?

I have a wireless atomic clock/outside thermometer and I have never changed the batteries in that, and I have owned it 3 years.
