Let me know your thoughts on this... i've used apple cider vinegar as a quick mop but has anyone tried to use simple syrup(Brown Sugar)and apple cider 50/50 mix?? The only reason i could think to use this concoction(sp?) would be to enhance the bark...maybe.

If you're cooking in a Cookshack, there's really no reason to mop. It's a moist cooker and doesn't need the moistening effect of mopping. There are two other real good reasons not to mop in a CS.

1. Opening the door lets out heat thereby lengthening the cook time.

2. Mopping can wash off some of your rub so if you don't need to mop, it's best you don't.
