After the long months of cold and winter, we will soon be coming up to summer and smoking season. Therefore it is important to refresh our memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor smoking as it's the real 'man way' of cooking.

When a man volunteers to do the smoking the following chain of events are put into motion:

1) The woman buys the food.
2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert.
3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the smoker, beer in hand.

4) *THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.*

5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is ready for turning. He thanks her and asks to bring another beer while he tends to the tedious task.

7) *THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.*

8) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, and sauces and brings them to the table.
9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.

10) *Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking/smoking efforts*.

11) Asking how she enjoyed her night off from cooking, he senses her annoyed reaction. Some women are more difficult to please than others.

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!!!

Well, I am glad my husband doesn't look at it either. I have been out cleaning out the FEC after he has cooked in it about 3 times in a row without cleaning it at all. I am going to tell him that all the guys on the forum clean up immediately and would never expect their wives to touch such a thing. LOL
