I cooked a 6 pound prime rib for 3 hrs 45 mins at 225 degrees, then 3 more hours at 140 degrees. It was great.
Now I need to cook 2 ribs, each 6 pounds. How long should I cook? I would expect that more pounds means more cooking time, but I want to ask someone who knows better than me: so, are two smaller pieces of meat different from one big piece? I am cooking for New Year's dinner (it's Dec 30th evening right now) and I just thought about this, so I am a little stressted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated... Jim in Portland Oregon |

I agree with Bodacious. Your time shouldn't vary much at all. Relax and enjoy the day. Let CS do the work
