CS Model 201 Does this exist

I think it is just an older version of the current CS260 commercial smoker. Verify before you buy, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

There was a 101 which was a Dehydrator, maybe they have some numbers mixed up.

Ask him how old and how much, that'll put us in the ballpark, then call CS and ask them.

I've not heard of a 201.

I talked to him. He did not know a whole lot about it other than they only used it one time for an event they had.

Tim, We had a 201 a long time ago with bimetal thermostats then later we made a DH201 Dehydrator. If you give Cookshack a call with eyes on we can see which one he has.

Geeze - that does not even look like it has had a good seasoning run.

I was thinking the same thing. It really was never used or they cleaned it up real well. Its around a 2hr drive to go look at it or I would have. Like I said he didn't know much about it other than CS makes a great product. I asked him if he was firm on his price and in his good-ol boy accent said " boy if you can't pay $3000 then you just don't need it".

Lay it on thick about how outdated it is and can't find any parts if something breaks. Tell him all about then NEW ones that have displays instead of OLD temp gauges.

Good luck, one mans junk is anothers treasure. Thats what I've been told.

Tim I'd give CS a call for some info. $3K sounds WAY too high for that rig. A few bucks more gets you a FEC100. Just off the top of my head, I'd guess a fair price MIGHT be $500...if that.

Tech Guy didn't say, but that unit has to be 10 or more years older. The Dehydrator models were late 90's (I had one).

It's basically a 200 series smoker. It looks clean, he probably cleaned it up. but I'm with Max, he wants way too much money.

If comment to you was stupid and silly, if he can afford not to sell it, good luck to him finding an idiot to pay that price.

I'd say that's a good deal since both elements heat up, maybe needs a bit of cleaning, a break in smoke run and then some pork butts. Essentially an old time version of the 260 right ?? Manual controls. WOW.
