Smoker cover no longer fits

It could have shrunk. But on a lighter side, maybe the smoker put on a few pounds with all the Q you've been doing? Gotta be one or the other! I'm leaning toward shrinkage.

My Cookshack purchased cover has worked well over the last 6 years. Only complaint is that black cover has faded even tnhough no in direct sun.

My cover looks good. It just doesn't fit any more.

I started smoking using my smoker about 6 years ago. Nothing I own back then fits anymore either. It must be related.

Like my smoker, I am built of stainless steel and I never change in measurements, so I always blame the clothes dryer. Seriously though, I have had my SM066 cover (bought from Firecraft, not Cookshack) for 4 years and it hasn't shrunk at all, although I've kept the unit in an unheated garage and never allowed it to get wet. RockySmoke doesn't say if his cover gets wet, but if so, I'm with old sarge - even if the cover material is non-shrinkable stuff, the sewing threads will shrink, making the cover tight. Are the seams puckered?

Well, I finally got the cover on. It was tight. My smoker has been outside covered but I recently moved it onto my screen porch. I guess being in the elements may have caused it to shrink a little, I don't know. No puckering of the seems. It's alway been a tight fit, but it's a lot tighter now.
