I have been away from the CS forum for quite some time and I may have posted this same question earlier.
I have one of the original Amerique's (Model 77 I believe). The problem is with the display during the cook. As the smoker heats up, that heat is transferred to the box that holds the display. As it heats up, the LCD begins to fade to the point where it is not readable.
Has anyone found this to be a problem? If so, I can't find where it has been discussed for fixes. A replacement is VERY expensive.
