I have an 025 and have it for about 5 years without an issue. I'm smoking a pork loin today at 200 without a hitch until I look at it and an hour and a half into the smoke and it's at 300. I stuck a polder in there and sure as heck the thing is way too hot!!! I checked the box and I had no fire. Put the loin in the oven to finish. Now I have it set at 145 and the temp shows 187. Any thoughts?

The 2nd cookshack I bought, I didn't notice where the racks were sitting. Stuffed the box full of ribs and didn't see that the lower rack had a slab right on the box probe. So even though the box was actually much hotter, it THOUGHT it was cooler since the meat was shielding it from reading accurately. Those ended up being like pulled pork and a pile of rib bones. lol. Still awesome though!!
