After many months of reading various forums and narrowing my choices down to Spicewine, Backwoods and Cookshack, I decided on a Cookshack. I made the purchase and look forward to cooking my first butt. This forum really helped in my decision making. Thanks.

Steamer,
You made a very wise decision. I purchased my first Cookshack back in November and bought another recently. Be sure to read through the Lessons for New Users in the Open Forum where you'll find everything you need to get you through your first cook. Congratulations!

You won't regret the choice. I have a co-worker that has a stick burner and he is green with envy whenever I tell him when I am smoking something in my 008 while I am at work for dinner that night and I don't have to tend to the fire!!

Boy aint that the truth. I brought in some Pork Butt I cooked this weekend for my assistants to share. I thought it was one of the worst ones I have ever made (tried a new butcher -- I am not going back) They loved it. So even when its bad its good. Hard to beat that Smiler

The only thing you'll kick yourself for after the first couple of smokes is "Why the heck did I wait months to make this decision?"

Congrats on a very wise purchase!!! Big Grin
