I'm building a new outdoor kitchen, and I want to incorporate the cookshack. I can't seem to find any designs or pictures of such a thing. If you have any pics or links, I would appreciate it.

Thanks Hayman, I found two pics. Hopefully someone will point me to some more.
Of the two I found, it looks like they positioned it like an undercounter refrigerator. I guess me next question will be how much space is needed betweent the top of the smoker and the counter top, or even if this is recommended. I will search the forum for that, but if anyone cares to chime in I would appreciate that also. |

Did you check out this thread, not sure if some of them might give ideas?

If God did not intend for us to eat animals, why did He make them out of meat? |
I have thought that if I ever get around to building an outdoor kitchen I would put the smoker up higher than floor level, so it would be easier to reach into. The other thing that I have in the design-in-my-head is to build in an enclosure around the smoker, with 12 - 18" above the smoker, with a grill-like shelf or two in that area. This would look like a built in cabinet which would be higher than the countertop, obviously, and the smoker would simply sit inside. I would smoke cheese and jerky on those upper shelves while I have other things in the smoker below.
