My 066 lives outside here Idaho. We haven't been down to -4 degrees yet but have had snow on the ground since just after the first of December. I did 40 pounds of pork butts, and 50 pounds of Brisket in 2 different smokes for a party on the 8th of December. I had to warm up the controller for both smokes. I got away with just turning the unit on and leaving it for awhile. I did a ham for New Years Day, and it was cold enough that this trick didn't work. I had to use a hair drier on it. I love my 066 but like everything else, you have to get used to using them when it is cold.
