I'm doing my first turkey and I have to hold it several hours before I serve it. Whats the best to hold it? Can I put it in a cooler like a Butt?

I usually separate dark quarters from breast,wrap several times in plastic ,foil and cooler.

You can do the same with a whole turkey,but then I usually stay down around the 15lb. size.

A spray of apple juice or your stock wouldn't hurt any.

Hope this helps a little.
