Hi All,

I don't post often but have been here since 2001. I am ready to add another unit to my inventory. I am basicly sold on an AmeriQue to go with my model 50. I LOVE my 50 and will keep it till it dies. However, I am concerned about the electronics on the new AQ. My 50 has been outside, uncovered in all sorts of SoCal weather for five years. I love this about it. I am concerend that the AQ might not hold up as well. I am also considering the FEC 100. It is a lot more appears to be more weather worthy. Am I worrying for nothing? I searched and found some posts on this but would like to get some new info..

I cover my AQ but the cover could be improved upon. I discussed this suggestion with the Cookshack folks, the cover needs a logo so that you can easily get the orientation right. The rear of the cover is higher to accomadate the control panel. The cover is snug so if you reverse it it won't go on well. It is quite thick and should give all the protection needed.
