Well, it looks like my heating element burnt up in the middle of a smoke this morning. I noticed the meat temperature started dropping continuosly for about an hour. It dropped from 154 to 134 in an hour. I shut it off removed the wood box and the element is black and charred looking all around the bend. It isn't physically broke anywhere and surprisingly it did not trip a breaker. This really sucks. I had two butts in for a party this evening.
