I may have to use an extension cord for my 050 on Christmas as the forecast is calling for some wind and rain. While it is typically under a patio cover, the wind may take the rain closer to where the CS normally sits/operates. How much of an issue is it (performance or safety related) to use an extension cord to get the CS further under the patio cover and away from the rain? I recall seeing something in the CS material recommending against using an extension cord....Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated...Merry Christmas! ibspy

Wheelz....You hit it right on the head. Did a 5 rib prime rib (about 10 3/4 lbs) and I believe the CS was running a bit cooler with the extension cord. I went with a 15 footer, with the proper specs to accomodate the CS. I went with Stuart's 2nd edition prime rib recipe/technique and the prime rib came out absolutely fantastic! Thanks for the words of wisdom, and Happy Holidays!!! ibspy
