I Q controller

Candy Sue converted her Jambo offset to a pellet feed smoker, so I'd say anything could be possible. The biggest problem is pellet consumption. It takes a lot of pellets if the cooker is not designed right.

what Im working on is a smoker about the size of a FEC 100, and Im debating on using a gas burner like what I have on my ole hickory or a pellet unit. I would really like to go with the pellet burner . Can I buy pellet feed controllers seperately

This is one move I never understood. How many customers of BBQ Delight cook on a Jambo?

The jambo pit is insulated, and it helps cut down on the pellet consumption.

Wow, don't know. I have seen Candy Sue's rig and it looks nice. But nost people who use the Jambo pits run them at high temps, and with the extra volume to heat. I don't know if the pot could keep up with the heat demand.

The 20lbs in 3 hours, is more than my FEC500 goes through.

Are you pitting this unit in doors?

Over on another site, some one was using a propan weed burner to heat a stick burner. He noticed it had gone out, and he relit it. Boom.

Third degree burns up to his elbow. If you go gas, I would maybe not go with a home built unit. Just my two cents worth.

If I use a gas unit it would be simular or the same as I have in my ole hickory. If all possible I have my sights set on a pellet burner.

Can't speak for CS, but "most" companies only sell parts to their customers. Main reason? Why sell someone parts to build a knockoff?

But go ahead, give CS a call and see what they say.

Another issue is that the electronics controlling it (eprom) are designed specifically for the FE setup (size, fans, pot, thermometer, etc) so I might be tought to do.
