I'm thinking about picking up some of the Cookshack rib racks designed for use with the FEC100. My concern is that the racks are designed for the ribs to be oriented front-to-back instead of side-to-side. I always get my ribs from Sam's Club, and from what I remember, they take up most of the width of the standard racks. I'm concerned that they won't fit in the depth provided by the rib racks.

Has anybody used the Cookshack racks with Sam's ribs before? Did they fit or how much did you have to cut off?

I do it without any trouble. Put the thick ends to the back where it is hotter. When you do this you'll need to shuffle them to get the best fit as some racks will be right and some left i.e.((()))) If you have multiple racks, rotate mid cook. The FEC 7 rail will accept 4 racks. They are not SS so dry completely or they will rust.
