I know this has been talked about before and I understand The electric CS smokers are not legal.

I don't understand how a pellet grill or a WSM or BGE with a Guru or stoker is legal and not an electric.
As I understand it from reading here in the past is there must be a flame --is this correct? Hell I've had flames in my Amerique on occasion --lol.

I'm just curious about this and wondering if the rules ever changed do you think any comp guys would use them.

Now that I have been cooking with pellets for awhile I've found that I prefer somethings on the PG 500 especially pork butt, but when it comes to brisket not so much. I'm sure I'll get it figured out.

In my Amerique in my own mind, I'm a legendary Brisket God-- lol-- which got me thinking that you really experienced cooks and comp guys must be able to put out a brisket to die for out of the electrics.
