Your 1st contest will be a great learning experience. An accurate (large) clock is a must. Noon time comes around VERY quickly on Saturday, and the next 90 minutes will make your head spin. The turn-in time window is enforced to the max.

As SmokinOkie is suggesting, having at least one dry run of cooking and timing a contest is a MUST.

It took me 3 truck loads to get my stuff to my first comp. Do yourself a favor and make notes as to what you use and how much. So next trip you know what to take and what to leave home. It reduces the stress level as well. Then you can have more fun. Good luck!!!!

Too bad there's no pastrami turn in for IBCA. The winter que season in VT has me at a serious disadvantage.
