From another thread:

Just a note on my recent experience. I found what look like decent bellies from Homestead Natural Meats in Iowa http://www.homesteadnaturalmeats.com/

They advertise skin-off pork belly, 9 - 11 lbs, at $69.99 with $9.99 flat-rate shipping (Fedex with dry ice, 2 days). Mine came frozen solid and weighed just about 14 lbs. That's about $5.70 a lb including shipping. Obviously their shipping weights vary, but I guess I got lucky!

Update: The belly was whole - I quartered it and vac packed and froze it for later use. Most of it was around 2 1/2 inches thick with lots of good marbleing. I'll update when I cook it - in this weather, the first cook may be braised and then pan fried. Smiler
That was one belly, skin on. They normally supply a lot of the local independent stores, but are open on Saturday mornings to the public. They had a huge barrel full of bellies. I had them cut it in quarters. Then I cut it down some more when I got it home.

It was between 1 1/4 and 1 3/4 inches thick. Also picked up several racks of loinbacks at $1.99/lb. Had to buy three racks minimum, I bought five.
