SMO55 Owner |
I have a digital probe but it is not remote and I would like to purchase a reliable remote probe.
I enjoy using the SM055 but when it get's close to temp I don’t enjoy having get up to check it every 5 minutes. Especially in the wee hours of the morning when I would rather be sleeping. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Swede -------------------------- I love hickory smoke flavor & CookShack mild barbeque Sauce |

I'll echo MarkT's comments. This remote is excellent. Set the remote receiver next to the bed on the night stand and catch some zzzz's. When it hits your target temperature, the alarm sounds, take out what ever you are cooking, wrap it in foil and go back to bed. I highly recommend it.

Brookstone's Grill Alert. It has the longest range of any of them I think, at 300 '. However, it does have one drawback. It has preprogramed temps for the meat you select. The alarm will go off at their temp and then you have to silence it until it gets where you want it. Other than that, very pleased with it.
