if you'll be ordering directly from CS ask them to price substituting stainless rather than the nickle plated grills. And ask to substitute the 6 slot rack rather than the standard 4. I got the cover when I bought mine and never use it; keep the smoker on a screened-in patio.

I'd suggest the cart. The angle of the LED affords a limited viewing angle. The cart will put it at the optimum height + you now have storage for wood & accessories.

Cover is not needed unless the AQ is exposed to the elements.

Ditto on the cart. The storage is very useful and it brings the smoker to a good height. No squatting to load or tend.

Excellent advice from TN Q on asking CS about substitution on the grills and the 6 slot rack. They may well cut you some slack on the price.

I kept my AQ in the garage for 2 years and used the cover most of the second year because I was on the road quite a bit. If the AQ was at home it was covered. If I took it with me it was covered while in route. I now have a concession trailer and keep the AQ in it and covered when it is not in use.

Don't forget to get a couple of the seafood racks for when you do wings or prawns.

frog mats work very well for wings and shrimp and are far easier to clean!
