I hear ya. I tried to use it more for prewarming the smoker for chicken,to help with the skin. I tried to hurry as fast as I could to keep from losing heat. I got enough in my eyes that I just quite using that technique after a couple times

, besides I couldn't really see much improvement in the skin.
