Was the control panel unplugged and the wires still had plug on them? When my cs020 was new, straight out of the box I had to plug the wires together then screw display to top of smoker.

I would think it would be worth your while to follow Smokin's thoughts. They are nice folks to chat with and don't bite.(lol)

Good luck with getting that thing running,because they make some of the best Que a person has ever ate!
