Reply to "SM008 / Pepper Popper?"

I have a little different take after years of doing a lot of the things mentioned by the others. I also have an 008, just keeps on keeping on. Meatloaf in now. Anyway, I have a rack that holds 20 peppers. I now buy a bag of bacon bits in the salad aisle and a bag of taco style cheese. This has taco spice mixed with the cheese for another layer of flavor. These two bags mixed together do 20 cleaned peppers every time, 225° for a couple of hours. They've become a tailgate staple. If you do something else and wrap them, I suggest pre-cooked bacon; uncooked just won't get crisp for me. By the way, is exit 174 about Perry? I'm originally from the home of Cookshack.
