sm025 shipped with what kind of wood?

Hi,

I have an SM025 and I would like to know what kind of wood shipped with it? Also I would like to know if anyone used or uses wood shavings i.e. the kind you can buy from Walmart. If so, if a recipe calls for 2oz. of wood - can you just weigh the shavings and use that amount or is it different because the wood is not in a block?
