Reply to "smoking salts?"

I have done this many times works great I have tried all different kinds of salt and found coarse sea salt worked best for me.just cover rack in two layers of cheese cloth and spread the salt smoke for an hour or two and your done time depends on if there is anything else in the smoker and how moist of an environment it is at least that is what it seems like also try to keep the salt layer thin or stir from time to time good luck.
