Reply to "Vacuum Sealer/Bags"

Ms. Vicki. Yes I posted about the bags, but pulled it off after rereading your post, which answered my queston about you bag's thicknesses. Wow, thanks for you snapshot memory and calling FS for me. I knew they were pretty thick. Even at 5 mil, I still lost about 20-30 percent when doing ribs. I think the thick is the foodsafe bone pads they sell, I think on the website where you got your bags.

Anyway, one day, maybe a larger one. I like the canister ones, but I don't know if you could get an entire rack of ribs in them, and it's a crime to cut a rack in half.

When I get my Hogs, I'll have to figure out a way to legally process some of the fine pork, but taking them to the abbatior at over 100 dollars a head, really cuts down on the profit margin.
