WOW!! how did you pry it into the smokette?

I did that 14#er the other day and it fit on a shelf kitty corner.. but parts were still touching the sides.. I didn't want that to happen due to possible off flavors from the 'creosote' if that's what much of it is.

I would imagine that one could use a "beercan" type holder that's made for turkey.. I think they are either just a chimney or a larger wire rack. and sit them vertically???

a few months ago i did a 12 pound beer can turkey in my webber bullet and really did use a beer can to hold it up.
just get a can of fosters austrailian beer in the "oil can" size.
but remember all beer can recipes start out with "first drink half the beer" Big Grin
it was kinda fun to do and the cooking time was the same as always

ps. i didnt put any water in the water pan and that let the skin really crisp up
