Can a person smoke two (2) 12 pound turkeys in a CS55, at the same time, without having cold spots on one of the turkeys and not rotating them? Does it take additional time or wood over smoking one turkey?
I will try it - neighbor wants one too and I will measure the turkeys in the market to make sure they fit. I'll take a rollup tape measure instead of a yard stick and if anyone sees me they will still think I have lost it.
I did that 14#er the other day and it fit on a shelf kitty corner.. but parts were still touching the sides.. I didn't want that to happen due to possible off flavors from the 'creosote' if that's what much of it is.
I would imagine that one could use a "beercan" type holder that's made for turkey.. I think they are either just a chimney or a larger wire rack. and sit them vertically???
weewilly, a few months ago i did a 12 pound beer can turkey in my webber bullet and really did use a beer can to hold it up. just get a can of fosters austrailian beer in the "oil can" size. but remember all beer can recipes start out with "first drink half the beer" it was kinda fun to do and the cooking time was the same as always jack ps. i didnt put any water in the water pan and that let the skin really crisp up
