Hey all, bought myself a smokette essential with my giftcards from xmas. I started with a charbroil water smoker, which sucked. After that I bought a weber smokey mountain which I love and still use. But I wanted something I could set and not worry about overnight.

My only question I have right now is how long should it take to come up to temp? I have it set to 300 and its only at 250 after an hour.

Had mine about 3 wks, xmas gift(early) from wife and the best I have ever had. I'll have to keep her. Please beware that the cookbook times are a little slow.Keep good notes on ever cook that way you can get better and better.I used brine on my chickens last night and could believe the difference.Brining 101 gives excellent ideas on this if you haven't ever done it, be worth your time
