I have owned my CS 025 for about a month now and things are going well. The heating element of my unit actually touches the bottom of the wood box. The two scrape when I remove and replace the wood box. Will this cause any long term problems with the heating element or unit. The smoker seems to work fine and I don't want to change things unless this will lead to problems later on with the two touching. thanks

I might be off on this but I don't think they were designed to have any contact between element and smoke box. Mine certainly doesn't.
Over time the contact would cause excessive wear on the element which in turn would be a safety issue.
