Brisket Injection Issue

Inject at 45 degree angle, make sure you are using a small needle. I use a 35ml syringe and it takes about 3-4 times to empty it before I refill. 

I would guess your needle is too big?

Thanks @cal 2. I'm using the smallest of the needles I have, which is the 3 inch needle featured in the package below, and have been injecting at 45 degrees. Maybe I'm pushing the the plunger too fast?

Should I be using one of the other needles in this kit instead of the small 3 incher?

There is a "Z Track" technique used when giving injections for people that helps stop leaking and the injected fluid from moving from muscle to fat (some medications don't do well in fat) and skin.

When you are ready to inject, pull obliquely (to one side) about 1/4-1/2 inch to move the top of muscle but not the whole muscle. This creates a block/misalignment in the muscle fibers when you pull the needle out and let the muscle go. You have to release and hold for each injection for it to work.
