Burn ban

So... we occasionally have "burn bans" in Oklahoma. Electric smokers are good to go, but what do you all think about the FEC100 or PG1000? they have flames, burn wood, but are enclosed... safe or not? More importantly would the "authorities" say safe or not?

Probably a silly question.

Actually it's a darned good question.

I've witnessed a few sparks fly out of my FEC100 vent at night...kinda like meteorites that burn out as soon as they're visible. Give the FD a call just to be on the safe side.

Thanks cal, hadn't seen that one. I read a couple of pages from the forestry dept etc. Found this

That was a 2008 document.

Best thing I found was my county isn't in a burn ban!... yet... Current Bans
